KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 (Bernama) — The full report on recruiting foreign workers, including from Nepal, will be known in one or two months, says Deputy Human Resource Minister, Datuk Mahfuz Omar.

He said the report from the Independent Committee on the Management of Foreign Workers would be studied before the ministry could restructure the policy on foreign workers.

“This issue (recruitment of foreign workers) is still being discussed at the ministerial level and we will also see the full report of the committee which will be submitted to us in a month or two.

“Any policy on foreign workers will be looked at based on the proposals made by the independent committee and all related matters will also be taken into consideration in the report,” he told reporters when observing the registration of new students at the Industrial Training Institute (ILP) of Kuala Lumpur in Jalan Kuchai Lama, here, today.
