New Age Bangladesh

State Minister of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry Imran Ahmad on Sunday asked domestic recruiting agencies to provide the services of recruiting workers for overseas destinations.

Addressing the representatives of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies who called on him at Probashi Kalyan Bhaban, the new minister said that if the recruiting agencies provide the services directly at upazilas the cost of migration would fall and the role of the brokers and middlemen would also disappear.

The delegation of the recruiters was led by BAIRA president Benjir Ahmed.

The delegation included former BAIRA president Abul Bashar and BAIRA’s current secretary general Shameem Ahmed Chowdhury Noman.

Imran requested recruiting agencies to open their offices at upazilas to provide migration services to the workers at their doorsteps.
